Safety Update 9.25.23

Good Morning All,

There are some exciting changes happening in the Safety and Compliance department! First, I am pleased to announce that we have revamped the onboarding process with new employees. Now, we have the opportunity to introduce our safety minded culture from the very first day of employment with our new training modules. These modules touch base on some of the most crucial health and safety topics and can be tailored to each area of industry within our company. We will continue monthly site visits and training on relevant topics as well as preparing our locations for WCSR walk throughs and audits. This will allow us to start the process of becoming SHARP (safety and health achievement recognition program) certified locations.

This Month’s training is on SDS sheets and their importance in the workplace. These documents include information on the properties of chemicals such as: physical, health, environmental hazards, protective measures, and safety precautions for the handling, storing, and transporting of the chemical. It is important to know how to read these documents and where to look for information in case of an emergency, as well as to know what risks- if any- need to be minimized while using products.

I hope you all are having a bountiful and safe harvest season!

Thanks,

Sarah Templin
